Angelo Ogbonna - JuventusSouthampton have joined the race to sign Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna in the summer.

The 27-year-old Italian international has struggled to establish himself as first-choice for the Bianconeri ever since joining in 2013 from cross-city rivals Torino.

Tuttosport reveal that Ogbonna is not opposed to leaving the club in the summer in search of regular first-team football, and his next stop may be in the English Premier League.

Southampton are keen on reinforcing their defense with the possible departure of Toby Alderweireld and the extra Europa League workload, but will face competition from Aston Villa.

The Old Lady will not stand in Ogbonna’s way if the player wishes to leave, and have put a valuation of €8 million on top of his head.

Ogbonna made 29 appearances for Juventus this year, mainly down to the injury troubles of Andrea Barzagli.
