Matteo Darmian TorinoTorino president Urbano Cairo has told his Napoli counterpart Aurelio De Laurentiis that he will fork out €20 million if he wants to sign Matteo Darmian.

Both men were president at a meeting of the Lega Serie A on Monday where the Vesuviani president attempted to sound out Cairo about a possible sale to Napoli.

However, he was told that the asking price has been set at €20m although Napoli are hopeful that with incentives and smaller add-ons, they may be able to lower the value of the deal.

One possibility may be to allow Jorginho to depart for the Granata – if they can come to an agreement with Hellas Verona over the Brazilian midfielder who is co-owned by the Mastini.

Other alternatives that have been mooted are in relation to Duvan Zapata or Omar El Kaddouri who could make permanent switches to the Stadio Olimpico although it is understood that Toro coach Giampiero Ventura is steadfastly against the sale of Italy international Darmian.
