Udinese have confirmed that Andrea Stramaccioni will not have his contract renewed with the club and as a result will leave his position as coach.

The Zebrette finished in 16th position in the Serie A table, seven points above the relegation zone, and the club have decided against giving the former Inter boss an extension to his current deal which ends on June 30.

“Udinese Calcio would like to announce that the club have chosen not to exercise the option for a contract renewal for Andrea Stramaccioni for the 2015/16 season, following a meeting between the directors and coach,” a statement on the club’s official website read.

“Therefore the relationship between the coach and club will come to a natural end on June 30, 2015.

“Udinese would like to thank Andrea Stramaccioni for his work.”

It is thought that the Zebrette are looking to bring in former Atalanta boss Stefano Colantuono as their new coach.
