Legendary AC Milan striker Marco Van Basten can see a great similarity between the treble-winning Inter side of 2010 and the current Juventus team.

The Bianconeri are hoping to complete an incredible hattrick of trophies on Saturday night in the Champions League final in Berlin, however they face a Barcelona side who are also hoping to complete their own treble and the former Netherlands international can see Massimilliano Allegri’s outfit win the final.

“It is possible in football [to win the treble] but it depends on a strong start to the season,” Van Basten told Sportsmail.

“It means that you already have the high levels of concentration needed in the final months.

“If you compare this final with the Inter-Bayern Munich match of five years ago, the Nerazzurri, like Juve now had vast experience and played together for a long time.”

The 50-year-old then revealed that he would like to see the Bianconeri lift the trophy, for the Italian game.

“For the sake of Italian football, I would like to see Juventus win. When I played for Milan, Italy had the best teams in Europe but that has not been the case for many years.

“They will have to play on the counter-attack and also make no mistakes at the back, I can see the game going into extra-time, maybe penalties.”
