AC Milan’s Silvio Berlusconi makes a strange cameo in Japanese anime Genshiken Nidaime alongside former France president Nicolas Sarkozy, but in the oddest of circumstances.
The Japanese anime centers around a group of students member of an otaku club, that is to say fans of manga and anime culture.
The two politicians appear in a cut-away scene, as part of a fantasy after one of the character expresses her infatuation for older men. The character then reveals her particular penchant for Berlusconi and Sarkozy, revealing her ultimate fantasy of both men as a secretly gay couple.
“I love older men [in positions of power],” says one of the female characters
“Like [Vladimir] Putin or [Dmitry] Medvedev? Perhaps even [Barack] Obama or [Bill] Clinton,” asked another.
“I could like them all; but for me, it would definitely be Berlusconi and Sarkozy,” exclaimed the first.
“And what if they were such ladies-men only to hide their secret [gay] relationship?”
The two politician’s cameo was in the event of a special four-minute episode that appeared as a bonus of the anime’s DVD, which has been available since 2013.
