Avellino midfielder Moussa Kone scored an amazing goal in a Serie B playoff semi-final against Bologna, but it was not enough for his side to progress to the playoff final.
The Ivorian international, who is on loan from Serie A side Atalanta, produced a superb winner in the second leg of Avellino’s playoff against Bologna.
Kone’s goal meant that Avellino won the game in Bologna 3-2 and the tie was levelled 3-3 after the two legs.
Although Avellino had scored more away goals in the tie, Bologna progressed to the final on account of their better finishing position in the regular Serie B season.
Bologna will now face Pescara in the two-legged final, with the winner joining Carpi and Frosinone in Serie A next season.
