Former Barcelona full back Eric Abidal is hoping Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba takes the decision to sign for his old club and join La Liga.
The Bianconeri youngster has been the subject of huge speculation, having been linked with a move to the Catalan giants for much of the year, with an announcement on his future expected at some time over the summer.
“It would be great to have Pogba here with us at Barca,” Abidal told Spanish daily Sport. “Hopefully it won’t be a problem for him to wait till 2016 [due to Barcelona’s transfer embargo].
“We’ve known each other a long time and we often chat.
“If Joan Laporta wins the club presidency, we will get to work to bring Paul here. Every player wants to win things and Barcelona have just secured an historic treble.”
