AC Milan complete signing of Sevilla striker Bacca

AC Milan have completed the transfer of striker Carlos Bacca from Sevilla following the completion of his medical this evening.

The 28-year-oldColombia international  joins on a five-year contract from the Europa League winners, where the former Club Brugge forward scored twice during a 3-2 victory over Dnipro in this season’s final in Warsaw.

Milan sent a delegation to Colombia to conduct the medial examination on Thursday, with the player having received the all clear he will join Milan and is expected at Milanello on July 20.

“Sevilla FC have reached an agreement with AC Milan for the transfer of Carlos Bacca, at the expense of the front exceeds the medical tests in the coming days,” read an official statement on Sevilla’s website.

“Carlos has spent two successful campaigns in La Liga, where he has scored 49 goals in 108 games. Sevilla FC wishes him all the luck in his new career.”

Milan have confirmed Bacca will wear the number 70 shirt, the same number the attacker wore during his spell at Brugge.

Bacca has also scored seven goals during 20 appearances for the Colombia national teeam since making his debut in 2010.
