AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Espanyol central defender Hector Moreno.
The Rossoneri are currently going through a large overhaul of their squad but have not yet acquired any new defenders, and they could look to Moreno as a potential reinforcement at the back to help them improve on last season’s defensive record.
Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Milan have been monitoring the 27-year-old Mexico international who has a contract with the Spanish side until 2016, and an offer could be made during the summer to bring him to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Moreno, who is currently on international duty at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, joined the Periquitos in 2011 from AZ Alkmaar, and has appeared 136 times for them since, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in all competitions.
