AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang has said he is happy after extending his contract with the side.

The Frenchman has not been getting a lot of playing time so went out on loan to Genoa where he showed great quality, and that has led to the Rossoneri offering him a new contract, which means he will stay at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza until 2019, which he said he is pleased about.

“I am very happy to have extended my stay with Milan,” the 20-year-old told Foot Mercato.

“I have confidence in Mihajlovic and the whole club after the deal.”

Niang then explained his decision to go on loan to the Rossoblu, where he scored five goals in 14 appearances.

“I went away of loan because I felt I had to play more in order to prove I could be an important player for Milan,” he said.
