The agent of Napoli star Jose Callejon has downplayed rumours regarding his client’s future at the club, saying that it is impossible for him to depart.
Spaniard Callejon has attracted interest from all of Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool so far this transfer window, but his representative has dashed the hopes of the trailing quartet by saying a move is very unrealistic.
“Contact with Chelsea? No.” said Manuel Garcia Quilon bluntly to plbold.dk.
“It is impossible for Callejon to transfer at this time.
“Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want him to leave.”
Callejon has excelled for the Partenopei since his switch from Real Madrid in 2013, but his future is in doubt after the departure of Rafael Benitez earlier in the summer, the coach who brought him to the club.
The 28-year-old netted 11 Serie A goals last season.
