Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad are interested in signing former AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari, the player left the Rossoneri last month after his contract was rescinded.

However, the Ghanian is not the only Serie A midfielder whom the club are chasing as it has recently been revealed that Inter’s Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin is also on their radar.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the club met with Muntari’s representatives on Saturday in order to discuss personal terms. Al Ittihad are likely to make an offer of €4 million for Guarin with a two year contract worth €20 million for the player. However it is said that Guarin is likely to reject this offer as he does not want to move to the club.

Muntari featured in 83 games for the Rossoneri scoring 13 goals and was often the subject of controversy, which included an incident of racial abuse against Verona and a disallowed goal in a crunch match against Juventus in 2012.

Guarin has played more than 100 games since joining the Nerazzurri from Porto, scoring 22 goals.
