Massimiliano Allegri has renewed with Juventus, which will see him stay an extra season at the helm of the Bianconeri.

The former AC Milan coach had arrived in Turin under a cloud of incredulousness and criticism, but won the hearts of Juventus fans after an impressive 2014-15 season.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Allegri will keep him in Turin until 2017. Furthermore, the Italian coach will receive €3.5 million per season, which will make him the highest earning Serie A coach after Roberto Mancini.

Allegri exceeded expectations in his maiden season with Juventus, leading the club to their fourth successive Scudetto, a 10th Coppa Italia triumph and the Champions League final in Berlin.

Now the 47-year-old is set to continue his Bianconeri adventure and possibly add to his trophy haul, with new signings having already arrived to cover the departures of Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo.
