Arsenal are hopeful of completing a deal for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente by the start of next week as Arsene Wenger attempts to add more firepower to his Gunners squad ahead of the Premier League kick off a week on Saturday.

Following the big money summer signings of Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Simone Zaza, the Spanish target man has fallen down the pecking order at the Juventus Stadium and the Bianconeri are ready to cash in on a player they picked up in a free transfer two years ago.

English newspaper, the Daily Express reports that the London club are confident that a €12 million bid should be enough to secure the services of the 30-year-old and, haven beaten off competition from Manchester United, Arsenal are confident that Llorente will formally complete a move to the Emirates Stadium next week.

Powerful and strong in the air, Llorente has an impressive strike rate in Italy, having scored 23 goals in 65 games whilst not always being a first choice striker in Turin.

Fernando Llorente will not be what Arsenal need . Wenger ta said more than once he will only sign quality players. This player has past his best and he is 30 years old. He will only be statistics in the squad . we shouldn’t sign him because he is too cheap. Juventus are selling him for a very low price for a good reason
