Atalanta forward German Denis is unlikely to move to West Ham United according to club sporting director Pierpaolo Marino.
The London-based side has plundered Serie A this summer having already signed Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus. The Hammers have also had an initial move for Roma’s Mattia Destro fall through according to reports.
“We want to keep Denis but we’ll listen to the will of the player,” Marino told Premium Sport. “However I do not think there will be problems.”
The 33-year-old Argentine has been with Atalanta since 2011 and has scored 48 league goals for La Dea.
The much-traveled forward, who has had spells at Cesena, Napoli and Udinese, has 5 caps for his national side but has not appeared for Albiceleste since 2007.
