Fiorentina’s Stefan Savic could be on his way to Spain, as Atletico Madrid prepare a bid for the defender.
Having sold Miranda to Inter, the Rojiblancos are in the market for a new centre-back and coach Diego Simeone believes that the Montenegrin Savic fits the bill.
AS Diario reports that Atletico will table a bid in the region of €20m in an effort to persuade the Viola to sell, after previous efforts to sign the 24-year-old were rejected.
It is thought that this may be the final bid submitted by the 2013-14 Spanish champions before they decide to turn their attention elsewhere.
Savic joined Fiorentina as part of the deal which saw Serbian defender Matija Nastasic move to Manchester City and since arriving at the Artemio Franchi, the Montenegro international has made 86 appearances for the club.
Savic made 29 appearances and scored two goals for Fiorentina during the 2014-15 Serie A season.
