Augsburg are planning a move for Inter fullback Cristiano Biraghi, who spent this season on loan at Chievo Verona.

The 22-year-old Italian youth international joined the Flying Donkeys on an initial two-year loan last summer, but could return to Inter early after amassing just 14 starts last season.

Tuttosport reveal that Bundesliga surprise packages Augsburg are keen on enticing the left-back to Germany in the coming months, with the inevitable departure of Baba Rahman.

The 20-year-old Ghanian prodigy Rahman has been attracting the attention of a raft of elite clubs around Europe including Roma and Juventus, and looks certain to leave the club in the summer.

Augsburg are preparing an offer of 3 million to take Biraghi permanently off Inter’s hands, and are convinced the Nerazzurri will be persuaded to sell.
