Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar has announced a contract renewal which will see him tied to the Viola until 2019.
The Senegalese youngster impressed during the 2014/15 season after returning to Florence from a year on loan at Serie B side Modena, with his performances leaving the Viola faithful eager to see him pen a new deal.
The 22-year-old has now announced that he has put pen to paper after taking to Instagram to post a photo of the moment, with a caption that initially read: “With the Viola until 2019, signed in the place that I was born.”
However the striker then later changed the caption to: “I can’t wait to return to sign and to begin a great season! Forza Viola.”
While details of the contract are still unknown, it is speculated that Babacar will see a significant increases in his wages as reward.
No official word has yet been made from the Gigliati, though an announcement is expected soon.
