Atletico Madrid winger Alessio Cerci could move to German side Bayer Leverkusen.

The Italian international, who is currently on loan at AC Milan in a deal which expires in June 2016, has already been linked with a move to Bundesliga side Schalke, but now Bayer Leverkusen are also monitoring Cerci’s position.

Gazzetta TV reports that the German side have been watching the 27-year-old as they attempt to improve their attack.

Cerci joined Spaniards Atletico Madrid from Torino at the start at the start of the 2014/15 season, but was then joined the Rossoneri on a two-year loan in January as part of the exchange for Fernando Torres.

Cerci scored once in his nine appearances while in an Atletico shirt, and hasn’t had much more success at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza as he also has only one goal for them in 18 games.

If we are playing 4312, Cerci should stay and compete for a starting position as a second striker, which is where he thrives.
