Benatia_BayernBayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia has claimed that he is ‘honoured’ by interest from Serie A champions Juventus.

The 28-year-old is reportedly frustrated with a lack of starting opportunities at the Allianz Arena under coach Pep Guardiola.

As such, the former Roma defender has stressed that he wants consistent game time and is open to a move away from Germany should a resolution not be found.

“I am honored by interest from Juventus.” Benatia told Tuttosport.

The Bianconeri, though, have prepared around €26 million to bring the Moroccan back to Serie A.

The centre-back is thought to be in high demand with Real Madrid also reportedly interested in acquiring his signature.

Benatia joined Bayern Munich last summer and made 24 appearances for Bayern in all competitions last season, scoring on two occasions.
