Braida: Barcelona will continue push for Pogba

Pogba Juventus 1-0 BolognaBarcelona sporting director Ariedo Braida, has confirmed that Barcelona’s €80 million bid for Paul Pogba has been rejected, but they will continue to push for the player.

Rumours of Barcelona’s interest in Pogba have been flying around for some time now. However, if any deal were to occur Pogba would not be able to appear for Barcelona until January 2016, which is when Barcelona’s current transfer ban ends.

Speaking to Sport Mediaset Braida said: “My dear friend Beppe Marotta of Juventus, who I have a profound affection for, has officially rejected the proposal that I made for Paul Pogba, but we will not stop here.

“I will now return to Barcelona to follow the Blaugrana presidential election and then we will think about other signings.”

Pogba was an integral part of Juventus’s double winning season making 35 appearances in all competitions scoring 10 goals, whilst also making six assists.
