Carpi have reached an agreement with Udinese over the transfer of left wing-back Gabriel Silva.
The 24-year-old Brazilian youth international made the move to the Fruili outfit from Palmeiras in 2011, but has never fully established himself in the team.
According to Sport Italia, Carpi have convinced Udinese to part with the full-back, who is keen to join the promoted club for a chance at more first-team football.
The two clubs came to an agreement a few weeks ago, but were waiting on the approval from the player which has now been received, so the transfer should become official in the coming days.
Silva only made 11 appearances for Udinese last term.
