Fiorentina have been dealt a blow ahead of the new season as it has emerged Mohamed Salah does not want to return to the club.

The 23-year-old Egyptian forward was expected to return to the Viola after a successful loan spell from English Premier League Champions Chelsea.

Salah is not short of suitors, and according to his advisors, the midfielder wants to return to Serie A but not with Fiorentina.

“We have decided not to return to Fiorentina. Salah will move to another Italian club this summer,” Egyptian lawyer Ramy Abbas has told Firenzeviola.it.

The former FC Basel winger scored nine goals after arriving in Florence as part of Juan Cuadrado’s €33 million move from Fiorentina to Chelsea in January, with the dynamic forward settling immediately at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Inter and Juventus are both monitoring the situation.
