From next season, Chievo’s most fanatical supporters will occupy their own side of the historic Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi following the news that they will be relocated in the Curva Nord.

The ultras of city rivals, Hellas Verona, have shared the Curva Sud with the Chievo faithful for respective home matches ever since the Flying Donkeys moved into the Bentegodi in 1986.

However, this arrangement has been a source of exasperation among both sets of supporters, with the Chievo fans particularly keen to carve out a seperate and unique identity for themselves following their club’s rapid rise through the ranks of Italian football.

Their wish will be granted following an official announcement from club president Luca Campedelli, who confirmed the new arrangement at the launch of the Gialloblu’s season ticket campaign.

The news will be especially well received by Chievo’s most famous Ultras group, ‘North Side’, following years spent petitioning the club’s hierarchy to be positioned in a sector of their own.
