Former PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Afellay has been proposed to Italian giants Inter, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio.

The 29-year-old Dutch international was released by Barcelona this week after a tumultuous five years with the club, as injuries and form restricted him to few appearances.

The player spent last season on loan at Greek champions Olympiakos, but they decided against making his loan move into a permanent one, meaning he is free to talk to any club.

Tuttomercatoweb report that the player’s services has been offered to a number of Serie A outfits, as he attempts to find a new club in the coming weeks.

Fiorentina in particular have been linked with Afellay as a low-cost alternative to Chelsea man Mohamed Salah, who is still pondering whether to continue on with the Viola.

Afellay made 29 appearances for Olympiakos across all competitions this season, netting six goals.
