Brazilian midfielder Fernando has praised Sampdoria, on the verge of his move to the Italian side.
The Shakhtar Donetsk player has flown into Italy to finalise a move to Samp and he stated he is ready for the next stage of his career.
“Sampdoria are a great club,” Fernando told reporters when he landed in Italy.
“I am very happy to be joining such an important club.
“My coach Lucescu told me all about Italian football and he said great things about it.
“I am ready and eager to play for Sampdoria and for the next part of my career.”
Fernando has to undergo a medical before joining Sampdoria in a deal believed to be in the region of €8 million.
