Fiorentina have sent a warning letter to Inter alleging that the Biscione made an improper approach towards Mohamed Salah when the player was under contract in Tuscany.

It has emerged that Inter made a €20 million offer to sign the Egyptian from Chelsea, which the Viola feel breached proper protocol and encouraged the player to veto the deal they already had in place.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina have sent a written warning to the Nerazzurri for contacting a player who was under contract although they are yet to receive a response from the Milan club.

Inter reportedly have a deal in place to sign the player on loan with an obligatory clause to make the deal permanent and the player is set to sign a contract that lasts until 2020 with an annual salary of €3m plus bonuses.

Salah made 16 Serie A appearances and scored six goals during his time with Fiorentina in the 2014-15 Serie A season.
