Fiorentina are looking to strengthen their midfield options by signing Walace of Gremio or Lucas Silva from Real Madrid.

With the departures of Alberto Aquilani and David Pizarro, due to their contracts expiring, the Viola have been left with a lack of depth in the central midfield department.

Furthermore, Jasmin Kurtic has also left the club for Atalanta, after spending last season on loan at the Stadio Artemi Franchi.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Fiorentina have already offered €5 million for Walace. However, Gremio have set an asking price of €8 million for the defensive midfielder.

A deal could be found if the Gremio accept a clause stipulating that 20% of any future sale would end up in the coffers of the Porto Alegre club.

If no deal can be found Fiorentina already have an alternative target in Real Madrid’s Lucas Silva.
