Fiorentina are considering buying Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah outright from Chelsea, as opposed to extending his loan deal as was previously planned.

The Florentines seem to have shrugged off the pressure placed on them by fellow Serie A club Inter, as the Nerazzurri have dropped off the Egyptian’s trail although the Tuscan club may now make Salah’s move permanent to ensure there is no future competition.

A growing sense of optimism has emerged after talks reportedly made a breakthrough, with the club moving closer to renewing Salah’s loan deal for a further year, though La Gazzetta dello Sport now reports that his stay could become even longer.

Fiorentina are said to be willing to meet Chelsea’s fee of €20 million immediately rather than wait an extra year in order to see the 23-year-old become solely a Viola player.

By completely securing his services, Fiorentina would be shutting out the likes of Inter and even Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, who were previously reported as being interested in Salah.
