destro mattia milanFiorentina are reportedly plotting an approach for Roma’s unwanted forward Mattia Destro.

Fiorentina are currently looking for reinforcements ahead of the new season. However, their summer hasn’t gone to plan so far as their pursuit of Mohamed Salah, who spent the second half of last season on loan from Chelsea, looks to be in jeopardy.

The Tuscan side now have Destro in their sights and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, The Gigliati are planning on offering Roma a €2 million loan fee with an option to purchase Destro for €11 million at the end of the season.

Bringing in Destro would also allow Fiorentina to sell Mario Gomez, who has been the subject of interest from French side Monaco.

Destro spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan making 15 appearances scoring three goals.
