Fiorentina have identified Aly Cissokho as a target to bolster their defensive ranks.
Cissokho is currently at Aston Villa having signed for the English side for €3 million last summer but Fiorentina are hopeful of securing a deal for the French international.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina are chasing Cissokho as they look to strengthen in the full back position.
Cissokho spent the 2013/14 season on loan at Liverpool from Valencia but failed to make an impact, making only 15 appearances in total for the Merseyside club.
The 27-year-old enjoyed his best spell of his career so far at Lyon, where he made over 90 appearances during his three years at the French club.
Cissokho’s only appearance for France came in a friendly against Norway in August 2010.
