Former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato has played down rumours of a return to Serie A with Lazio and Inter.

The 25-year-old Brazil international returned to his homeland with Corinthians after a series of injuries ended his time with the Rossoneri prematurely.

Pato left Corinthians to join Sao Paulo on loan as part of the deal which saw Jadson move in the opposite direction during February 2014.

“We are at the end of July and my head is focused on the upcoming games, talks relating to my contract do not interest me and I will do my best here,” Pato told Globo Esporte.

“I’m playing well and I want to help Sao Paulo, scoring goals with continuity as I have already done in recent seasons. My goal remains the same.”

Pato previously spent six years with Milan, scoring 51 goals during 117 appearances and was a key player as the club won the Scudetto in 2011.
