Ex-Fiorentina midfielder Alberto Aquilani is on the verge of a move to Canada with Montreal Impact reportedly close to a deal.
Aquilani is now a free agent after his contract with Fiorentina expired at the end of last season.
According to Sportmediaset, Aquilani is set to join up with another ex-Fiorentina man in Marco Donadel, if he seals his move to Canada.
The Canadian club have a history of bringing players over from Serie A with Marco di Vaio and Alessandro Nesta also previously playing for the club.
Montreal Impact are currently owned by Canadian businessman Joey Saputo who is also the chairman of Bologna.
