Ex-Fiorentina and Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani is in high demand, with several offers from teams in Italy and abroad.

The former Viola midfielder is now a free agent after his contract expired in June and he reportedly now has a number of clubs to choose from.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the 31-year-old has had approaches from the US and from Besiktas in Turkey. Hellas Verona and Marseille are also thought to be interested in the free agent.

Aquilani started his career at Roma after coming through the Giallorossi youth ranks. He then moved on to English side Liverpool but struggled to settle in the Premier League, making only 18 league appearances for the Reds.

After playing for Juventus and AC Milan, he eventually established himself in Florence. Aquilani made 25 appearances for Fiorentina last season 17 of them as a starter.

A former Italian international, Aquilani also made 38 appearances for the Azzurri, netting on five occasions.
