Astori romaCagliari-owned defender Davide Astori is expected to complete his move to Napoli over the next 24 hours, as a deal for also Sime Vrsaljko gets closer.

The Italian international centre-back spent last season on loan at Roma, but the Giallorossi decided not to pursue an option to make the switch permanent, thus leaving the way open for the Partenopei to pounce.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 28-year-old will sign a four-year contract as early as Wednesday afternoon, worth €900,000 per year to the player, plus various bonuses on top.

Additionally, the newspaper states that Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli will meet the agent of Sassuolo right-back Sime Vrsaljko in Milan over the coming hours, in a bid to accelerate the purchase of the sought-after Croatian international.

The twin moves come hot on the heels of Udinese midfielder Allan’s arrival, after he joined up with the squad at their Dimaro training camp on Tuesday.
