Napoli midfielder Allan spoke to the media on Thursday about his recent move from Udinese and revealed the high goals he has set for himself in the Partenopei shirt.

After having been linked to the club for more than a month, the Brazilian finally signed on Tuesday for around €10 million plus bonuses, with defender Miguel Britos and Duvan Zapata going to the Zebrette.

“I never thought that the deal will go through,” the 24-year-old told Premium Sport.

“At the end it went well and I am happy.

“Napoli is the best choice for me and I want to give everything for this shirt.”

For the three years spent at the Friuli, Allan’s biggest achievement was finishing in fifth place during the 2012/13 Serie A campaign, but according to the player these are not the goals that he will try to achieve at his new club.

“I am here for the Champions League,” he was quoted by Il Mattino.

In 116 appearances for Udinese, Allan scored just two goals, both coming last season, but the 2011 Under-20 World Cup winner is determined to improve his goal-scoring record at the San Paolo.

“With the tactics of [coach Maurizio] Sarri, I can score even more,” he said.

“I am not a phenomenon, but I will put my heart in it.”
