Inter target Felipe Melo has admitted his time with Turkish side Galatasaray is over.

The former Juventus and Fiorentina player joined Galatasaray in 2011, initially on loan, but now has his heart set on a move away from the club.

“I am leaving Galatasaray.” Melo told Turkish newspaper Milliyet.

“My future is not at this club anymore.

“I will leave behind some great people and memories but my future will not be with Galatasaray.”

Melo has been linked with a move to Inter all summer and is now close to joining the Italian side.

Current Inter boss Roberto Mancini previously worked with Melo during his brief spell with Galatasaray during the 2013/14 season.

A deal for the 31-year-old could include a swap with Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo moving in the other direction.

The Japanese international has been linked with numerous clubs this summer and may be willing to join the Turkish side.
