Genoa are currently negotiating a contract extension for talented winger Diego Perotti.
The 27-year-old was impressive for the Grifone last season after joining from Spanish side Sevilla. As a result, the Argentine has attracted interest from Inter, Roma and Napoli as well as English Premier League side Watford.
According to Gazzetta.it, due to those heavyweight clubs pursuing other options, Genoa have taken the opportunity to offer the Buenos Aires born player a new deal with a huge salary increase, from €500,000 per season to €800,000.
If signed, Perotti’s new deal would extend his stay at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris until June 2019.
Perotti started 27 times for Genoa last season scoring four goals and creating five assists, helping the Rossoblu to a sixth place finish in Serie A.
