Hellas Verona have signed Italian striker Giampaolo Pazzini on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old forward did not feature much for AC Milan last term, but Verona now hope that he can regain that prolific partnership that he had at Fiorentina with Luca Toni, who finished as joint Serie A top-scorer last year.

Sky Sport Italia report that Pazzini has signed a five-year contract, keeping him with the Gialloblu until 2020. It is also thought that he will be earning around €1 million per season.

Now, Pazzini is scheduled for a medical and it is expected that it won’t be long before he is announced as a Hellas Verona player.

The former Sampdoria man has had a tough time of late, scoring only four goals in his 26 appearances for the AC Milan last season after only making short cameo appearances.
