Chievo, Torino, and Serie A newboys Bologna are fighting it out for Hull City striker Abel Hernandez.

The Tigers were relegated from the Premier League on the last day of the 2014/15 season, just eight months after splashing €14 million on the Uruguayan international from Palermo, and are now looking to rid the striker from their wage bill.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Hull are willing to loan out the striker for €1m, with a fee agreed for a permanent sale of around €10m, but the Flying Donkeys have so far only offered €500,000 for a temporary spell in Verona.

The Gialloblu are furthest down the line with regards to a deal for the forward, but also maintain an interest in Udinese forward Nicolas Lopez, who spent last season on loan at city rivals Hellas Verona.

The Zebrette have reportedly agreed to the principle of a loan deal, again involving Chievo’s right to redeem the striker permanently, and should the player agree to leave Udinese he will have the pick of Sassuolo and Frosinone as well as Rolando Maran’s Chievo.
