Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo has reportedly rejected a move to Sampdoria though he is still likely to leave the Biscione this summer.

The 28-year-old, whose current contract with the Nerazzurri is set to expire in June 2016, has been steadily linked with an exit from the Stadio Meazza outfit in recent weeks as he looks to find more playing time and it seems like the Blucerchiati have become the latest club to express interest in him despite the player’s plans to leave Italy.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Japanese international has rejected a move Sampdoria and would only be willing to play abroad if he makes his departure from Inter in the coming months as he apparently has no desire to play for any other Italian teams besides the Milan side.

Reports suggest that West Ham and Schalke are among the several outside clubs that may be looking to land the full-back, giving him multiple options to choose from if he fails to remain at Inter.

Nagatomo made 14 Serie A appearances last term.
