Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo is mulling over the chance to move to English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion.

The Japan international flitted in and out of the Nerazzurri team last season as loss of form and injuries hampered his chances of regular first team action under coach Roberto Mancini.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported that the player has rejected the chance to move from the Milan-based outfit to Sampdoria, as he would rather take time to think about an offer made to him by the English club.

The story goes on to say that Bundesliga side Schalke has also contacted Nagatomo over a potential transfer and could hijack the deal made by the Baggies.

The 28-year-old, who has 81 international caps, has been in Italy since 2010, having first had a loan spell with Cesena before signing a contract with Inter.
