Inter’s move for Atletico Madrid’s Mario Suarez looks like it could be on, but only if the Spanish side can acquire ex-Nerazzurri midfielder Thiago Motta.

Inter have been heavily active in transfer market so far this summer as they look to strengthen in an effort to improve on last season’s eighth place finish. Inter have already signed Geoffrey Knodogbia, Jeison Murillo and Miranda who was previously of Atletico Madrid.

According to Spanish paper AS, Inter’s deal for Mario Suarez hinges on Atletico Madrid acquiring ex-Inter man Thiago Motta, who is currently at Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Inter’s chances of a deal have already been improved by the signing of Rodrigo Caio from Sao Paulo by Atletico Madrid.

It is also believed that as Mario Suarez’s release clause is €12 million, any move to Inter would initially be on loan.

Mario Suarez made 27 appearances for Atletico Madrid last season and has been with the club since 2010.
