Reports in Italy suggest Inter coach Roberto Mancini wants a back-up striker, and would currently be looking at German Denis of Atalanta and Fabio Quagliarella of Torino.

The Nerazzurri have already made four major signings this summer and they look set to make more, with moves for Ivan Perisic and Stevan Jovetic also mooted.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter would also be contemplating a move for either strikers, as Mancini seeks a complement to Mauro Icardi.

Both strikers are proven in Serie A, with the Argentine scoring 52 goals for Atalanta since 2011. However, the 33-year-old was only able to manage eight last season.

Quagliarella, was in much better form last season scoring 13 goals for Torino, when he helped the club reach the Europa League Round of 16. Like Denis however, the Italian is also on the wrong side of 30, turning 32 last January.
