Inter winger Xherdan Shaqiri is set to reject a move to Stoke City, despite the two clubs agreeing a €17 million fee on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old Swiss international only joined the Nerazzurri six months ago, but the Serie A club are ready to let him go for the right price after a series on unconvincing performances.

Sky Sport Italia report that despite Inter accepting Stoke’s €17 million offer, the winger is set to turn down the offer from the English Premier League club.

Shaqiri feels the move to Stoke would be too much of a step down, and is determined to stay at Inter and fight for his future under Roberto Mancini.

This will be the second time that Stoke have been turned down by the explosive winger, after Mark Hughes’ side made a play for him in January when he was still at Bayern Munich.
