Chelsea wide-man Juan Cuadrado is a loan target for Serie A champions Juventus, who want a winger alongside their pursuit of a playmaker.

The former Fiorentina star left Italian football just under six months ago, but struggled to make an impact in the English Premier League during four starts and eight substitute appearances for the Blues last term.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri would like to take the Colombian international on loan with a view to making the deal permanent next summer.

However, Chelsea would instead prefer a permanent deal to be done now, with full payment made for Cuadrado’s services up front.

Despite his apparent troubles with settling into life at Stamford Bridge, the right winger was an integral member of the Fiorentina squad during two-and-a-half years spent with the Viola.

Cuadrado made 106 appearances in total for the Gigliati, scoring 26 goals, following previous spells with Lecce and Udinese.

I’m really not in favor of this move, although a player like Cuadrado could provide some valuable width to a team that I could see being fairly narrow, I’ve always thought he was a little too much of a one trick pony that doesn’t offer too much more than speed.
