Arturo Vidal - JuventusFormer Juventus coach Giovanni Trapattoni believes that the Bianconeri will continue to be successful despite the sale of Arturo Vidal to Bayern Munich.

Trapattoni coached Juventus from 1976 to 1986 and from 1991 to 1994 as well as Bayern Munich in two separate spells in 1994-95 and also from 1996 to 1998.

Vidal, who has just completed a transfer to the German giants, played a key role in the Old Lady’s domestic double triumph.

Despite losing a quality player, Trapattoni believes that his sale won’t affect how the club acts in the transfer market or how they perform on the pitch.

“Player leave, but Juve remains the same. A player who is certainly important has gone away,” Trapattoni told TuttoMercatoWeb. “[He is] eclectic and he has a great personality.

“He represents more than the colour of the jersey, I thought there would be more value in signing and prolonging his contract. But the English and German clubs are always very hungry.

“Juve doesn’t go out of certain parameters. As I said before, they lose an important piece but the club’s philosophy is clear and decisive.”

Vidal played 28 league games for Juventus last season and scored seven goals. He also had four assists.
