Massimiliano Allegri is set to sign a new and improved deal as Juventus coach following his outstanding successes of last season.

Allegri won a Serie A and Coppa Italia double in his first year at the helm, while also leading the Bianconeri to the Champions League final against Barcelona in Berlin.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reveal that a significant wage rise is in the offing for the former AC Milan boss, which would see his salary increase from €2.5 million per season up to €3.5 million, plus various bonuses.

The 47-year-old is expected to pen the agreement before the start of the new campaign, making him the second-highest paid coach in Italian football behind Inter supremo Roberto Mancini, who has just been upgraded to €4 million per year from this summer.
