Juventus Director General Giuseppe Marotta has spoken on a range of topics in a recent interview.

The big figure at the Turin club has exposed the Bianconeri’s stance on a number of issues including the status of the club’s chase for young German international Julian Draxler, as well as who he thinks will challenge the champions for the title in the upcoming season.

“Draxler? The reality of the situation is that offers are made frequently when the transfer window is open,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“This morning we put forward another offer to Schalke, regardless there remains distance between the clubs over a transfer agreement for the player.

“We are interested in Draxler but he is still a Schalke player and a lot depends on the desires of the German club.”

Marotta exposed some of Juve’s other transfer ambitions including the admission Massimiliano Allegri would like another option on the left side of defence.

“We are looking for a left back as an alternative option to Patrice Evra,” he continued.

On top of this, Marotta shared his thoughts about other teams in the Serie A and who might challenge Juve for the title next season.

“For the moment I would say that Inter has become much stronger, then there are the usual rivals of Roma and Napoli, while Milan have made some great signings.”
