Juventus have been told they must complete a deal for Schalke attacking midfielder Julian Draxler soon or risk losing out on securing the player’s signature.
The Bianconeri have agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old German international, and now must reach an agreement over the transfer fee with the Bundesliga giants.
According to German newspaper Bild, the Gelsenkirchen club has issued The Old Lady with an ultimatum, close the deal quickly or risk missing out on one of Europe’s top young performers.
Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt has requested a fee of €30 million from the Italian champions, with Juventus preferring a figure closer to €25 million. There is also a possibility Draxler could arrive on loan with a permanent deal waiting until next year.
If they want to play hard ball they can keep him. We are juve and already have an excellent team. we are not gonna get pressured into buying an injury riddled youngster for bombastic prices because schalke put the pressure on.
